I'm Back

Katy and her parents returned safetly home from the youth mission trip to Louisana last Sunday night. It was a nice trip and we all had fun, but Katy (and her mommy and daddy) are glad to be home. One of Katy's favorite stops on on the mission trip was shopping at Bass Pro Shops (a store that her Katy daddy loves). Katy bought herself a few items and was happy to see what daddy talks about all the time. One of her other favorite stops was the Big Texan in Amarillo TX. They are famous for their 72oz steak that if you can eat all of it...its free. It was a fun place to stop and eat at. Katy didnt have steak, but she did enjoy the fries and rolls. Katy has now perfected the art of crawling and can pull herself up to stand (on everything!). Katy also received 3 new teeth while in Louisana, making her a 5 tooth girl. (Looking like it is soon to be 6 as she has another on the way). Katy has also become quite vocal and is sure to tell you what she thinks. Mamma and Dadda and her only official words as of now...but even though she doesn't have a lot of words, she has plenty to say! Katy also LOVES to drive cars. Well, she loves to play with the steering wheel and pretend to drive cars. Hugs and Love to you all!

Happy July 4th

After fighting the getting dressed, and begging to remain 'bare', Katy finally put on her Old Navy July 4th shirt. Which today seems to be the family uniform! And after a nap with her daddy on the couch - Katy is ready for her first July 4th!
Have a safe and happy July 4th!! - Love, Katy, Jeb, & Mindy

Wedding Bells and Tired Babies

Last weekend we made the trip to Lubbock, TX for Mindy's little brother, Matthew's, wedding. It was quite the occasion. Mindy was a bridemaid and Katy was the "flower girl". (On paper at least! After much contemplation...it was decided that Katy wouldn't be responsible for the ususal flower girl duties...but she was listed as the flower girl!)

The wedding was wonderful and we are very excited to have a new sister and aunt in the family! (Lindsey...my brother's wife is a real sweetie.)

Katy did a great job and visited and met lots of family and friends. (Including her Uncle Timothy and Aunt Rachel from Chicago, and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins that she has never met before.) The picture of lots of people are Mindy's family. (Just part of them...believe it or not!)

Katy also went for her first official swin while in Lubbock. Of course, we didn't take any pics of Katy in the pool. Katy was so tired after her swim (and wedding day!) that she fell asleep before we even made it from the hotel pool back to our room. She needed a bath to rinse off the chlorine...so her good ole Daddy sat in the tub with her. She slept and he washed her off. It was quite a site to see! Luckily we did get pictures of that.

We are all headed to Louisiana this weekend for a mission trip with the youth.

Katy will surely have lots of stories and pics to share when were return.

Beem Me Up - A Visit To Roswell

As we were headed to Lubbock for a wedding, we made a stop in Roswell to visit with Jeb's grandparents. Jeb's mom, Jan, was also there for a visit. Katy entertained and soaked up all the attention the whole time we were there. She had a great time visiting with her Grammie and her MiMi. We had all four generations together. (Grammie, Jan, Jeb, and Katy)
