Hanging With Katy

Hello All. Katy is doing great. She continues to bring lots of joy to our lives.
She is full of love and always makes us laugh.
Her new thing is to say Hi Dad over and over.
She also has taken to just saying MOM or MA.
Apparently MaMa is just too long.
But she doesn't just quielty say it...its MA...MOM nice and loud.
Katy is getting around really well these day.
Yesterday, one of Katy's teachers at Wesley Kids told us
that she thinks she will walk soon. Before 10 months!?! Yikes.
Hope you are all doing great. Love and Hugs to you all! Enjoy the pictures.
My new carseat. Its very cozy. It still has to face the back until I turn one!
But when I get to turn around and face forward...I sure will feel like a big kid in my new seat.
Its so neat. Look at all these features!
And it even came with this super cool BOX! What a great toy.
Do I have to come out?
Excuse me...I am trying to read. Can you put that camera away?

A Visit From My Grandpa James!
Katy was so happy to see her Grandpa.
And she had a great visit with him.
Katy's Grandma Jan didn't get to visit and we were sad.
But next week Katy, Jeb, Mindy, and Grandma Jan will fly to Missouri together.
So Katy should get plenty of Grandma time on the plane!
"It sure is good to see you!" Look how happy I am!
This is my daddy's shoe! It's big.
Wow! What's in here?
My mom had to sort all my clothes. She said it was work.
But I sure liked going through the boxes.

A Trip To Roswell

Saturday we took a quick trip over to Roswell. Our friends Dare and Heather recently welcomed their third child, Kylaa, into the world and we wanted to go meet her.

We had a great time and it was nice to meet Kylaa and get to visit with Dare, Heather, Rylee, and Wyatt.

Our first stop in Roswell was to Jeb's grandparents house to do some watering.

It was REALLY hot outside...but Katy played patiently in the yard while Jeb and Mindy watered. Katy's face is like a thermometer...you can tell how hot it is outside by how red her little face gets!

This is Klyaa Stevens. She was two weeks old on Saturday.
We were really excited to meet her.
Luckily, Dare and Heather have lots of shade...so we spent some time playing outdoors.
Knowing that Kylaa had received lots of gifts, we brought a little something for Rylee and Wyatt...the big sister and big brother. I think Katy and Jeb liked River Run Water

Park more than Rylee did! (Wyatt was napping.)

Wild Hair and Wide Eyed

Rylee and Katy loved playing in the water.
Daddies and their girls.
Ooh...this feels nice.
Oh no... I might be stuck.
Mom...Dad...I think I need a bike!

Wyatt and Katy...pretending to share. Just us kids!
Look how cute we are!
Let me touch that baby!!!

Soul Sisters

Katy had a special treat last Friday.
She got to hang out at the zoo with her 'soul sister' Nora.
Nora and Katy were born on the same day right down the hall from each other.
(That's why we call her Katy's soul sister.)
Unfortunately, due their very busy schedules, the girls don't get together to socialize as much as they would like. But this trip to the zoo was a fun one.
You can take all the pictures you want...but we are not smiling!
Look ma! Nora eats sticks too!Yum. Nature.
Katy and Nora and really close in size too.
About the same height and pretty close to the same weight.
They are both 'solid' girls!Hey...you have hands too! Aren't they cool?
Man...the zoo can really wear a baby out.
And people wonder why we go so often!!

Summertime Fun

After a lucky trip to the clearance isle of ToysRUs,
Katy was excited to bring home her new inflatable water play center.
Complete with a baby pool (with sprinklers) and ball pit.
So far, it seems to be well worth the $7 we paid for it!

One of Katy's all time favorite activities is brushing her teeth.
Luckily for Katy, she gets to brush in the morning and at night.
Have to keep those six pearls of hers shiny!

Dad! I wanna come out too!!
Fine...you won't let me out...I'll just go attack mom (and the camera!)
See...told you so!

9 Months Old & Growing Like A Weed

WHAT!? Haven't you ever been really thirsty. Besides...water is good for ya.

It's a little hard to drink from a jug...perhaps not very ladylike...but I like it.

Look guys - I am all smiles even if you did dress me like a boy and put me in baby jail.

My Nana and Popee (my mommy's parents) came to visit me two weekends ago. We had so much fun together. I love spending time with my Nana and Popee. I hope they come back soon. I even told my mommy that she was fired while my Nana was there.

This is the 'crazy' look that I get sometimes right before bedtime. And don't you love my pretty new pajamas. They are from my Uncle Timothy and Aunt Rachel who live in Chicago.

"Please quit taking my picture...can't you see I am eating."

I LOVE bathtime. I can't even wait to get all my clothes off before I just want to jump right in. My daddy just can't get the water run fast enough for me.

But now that I get up and down and move around all by my self...I really like to try to crawl OUT of the tub. It's hard cause I am all slippery...but that doesn't stop me from trying.
